ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

One of Tilcon Delaware’s top concerns in any project or facility is its footprint on the environment, as well as the impact on neighbors. Tilcon is an industry leader in its recycling efforts, initiating a recycling program that provides an economically friendly subbase and keeps the environment clean of concrete, bricks, blocks, and asphalt that would be disposed of in already saturated landfills. With recycling centers in both Wilmington and Dover, contractors, homeowners, public works and federal agencies can properly dispose of their recyclable materials.

Tilcon uses a portable crusher on construction projects allowing for the reuse of recycled materials such as glass and recycled aggregate to be used in mixes. Over the past few years, Tilcon has recycled more than 500,000 tons of asphalt pavement.
